National Deaf Childrens Society.
NDCS is an organisation of families, parents and carers, providing emotional and practical support.
They are also a provider of impartial information and individual advocacy on every aspect of childhood deafness, NDCS can help with welfare rights and benefit claims, making education choices, advising on health and audiology and technology, or simply as someone to talk to.
NDCS campaigns for improvements in services aimed at families with deaf children, working with central and local government, health authorities, education professionals, social services, manufacturers and voluntary organisations.

Flute Tuition
Jessica Quiñones has taught flute for many years, winning many awards for her creative and friendly approach to private tuition. In 2002, she was named by America's Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) as one of the "Best Studio Teachers under the age of 30" and whilst at the University of Denver was named the "Most Promising Music Educator".
The Quiñones Flute Studio is based in the historic city of York , England and is committed to offering pupils a well-rounded and inspiring approach to achieving high standards of flute playing.

Music and the Deaf
Music and the Deaf is a unique charity that brings music and the performing arts to deaf people and those who live and work with them.
Music and the Deaf's aim is “To help people of all ages and degrees of hearing loss to access music and the performing arts through workshops, educational projects, talks and signed theatrical performances.”
Music and the Deaf works closely with hearing-impaired services and with schools and Deaf centres to provide workshops and projects which are tailored to individual needs. Key projects help to deliver the music national curriculum to deaf young people in schools across the UK, whilst the provision of after-school activities and other workshops develops music provision in the wider world. We are a signatory of the Music Manifesto and have excellent working relationships with the Department for Children, Families and Schools (DCFS) and the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).
